I Confess–I’m Aging
My latest Circuits Assembly article focuses on the value of multi-generational teams in evaluating new technology. And, in the process of discussing that issue, I’ve chosen to reveal that I’ve recently added hearing aids. I’ve got to admit, the capabilities of hearing aid DSP chips impressed even me (especially what I call the screaming kid blocker channel which I now use on planes and in restaurants). Anyway, enjoy the read. And, if like me you’ve abused your hearing with a lot of plane travel and time spent on factory floors without hearing protection (and, yes, listening to rock music), get your hearing checked. If you’ve started to lose it, you may be amazed at how much you can get back with a good set of digital hearing aids.
Finally, to all the engineers who helped develop the current generation of hearing aid technology–you rock!
